NASCAR Star Mark Martin in Columbus, Ohio For Grand-Am Rolex Series Press Conference

WHAT: NASCAR Star Mark Martin announced earlier this year that he will make his Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series Daytona Prototype debut at the new Iowa Speedway, July 13 - 14. He will be joined Thursday by representatives of Southard Motorsports, of Columbus, and Iowa Speedway to announce their complete plans for Mark Martin's debut Daytona Prototype race.

WHO: Mark Martin, STEVE SOUTHARD of Southard Motorsports and STAN CLEMENT of Iowa Speedway.

WHY: To confirm Mark Martin's plans to run in the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series Daytona Prototype race at Iowa Speedway, July 13 - 14. The complete driver and race car line-up will be announced while Mark Martin is in the Columbus-based Southard Motorsports shop for a seat-fitting.

The Southard Motorsports team will also be competing in the upcoming EMCO Gears Classic presented by KeyBank at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, June 22 - 24 with regular team drivers SHANE LEWIS and RANDY RUHLMAN.

WHERE: Southard Motorsports; 40 Industrial Park Place, Powell, Ohio 43065; 614-799-9530. DIRECTIONS FROM I-270: Exit on Sawmill Rd. and go North. Follow Sawmill Rd. approx 3 miles to SR 750 (Powell Rd.). Turn Right on SR 750 (at Light) and proceed 3/4 mile to Industrial Park Place. Turn left on Industrial Park Place and proceed to 40 Industrial Park Place.
